Tinola with Mojos

Current weight: 209 lbs.
Day 1 (Pre-SBD)
Woke up early this morning with nanay telling me that there's Tinola on the stove for my breakfast.

Don't you just love nanay?

She has also cooked two cups of brown rice for me.

She showed me the lemon-and-salt-marinated Tanigue and asked me if we should grill it. I decided to save it for tonight. I just had a cup of brown rice and and a bowl of Tinola for breakfast.

I noticed, however, that when I arrived at the office, a short three hours from my first food intake at home, I was already hungry. I was not surpirsed though.

I quickly ran to Earl's to grab a Meat Trio in Whole Wheat bread to save myself from getting stuffed with white carbs.

I devoured the sandwich for only 10-minutes and drank enough water to save myself from choking.

4:30, Don came with a big bag of Shakey's leftovers from a video-shoot. Olive and Hazel immediately grabbed their utensils and rummaged the pack.

I hesitated a bit, but gave in nonetheless. Besides, I have two cups of red rice here with me, and it wouldn't hurt if I get a piece of chicken and eat it with the rice I got.

I have to be honest though. It was not only the chicken that I took. I also grabbed two square slices of Manager's Choice and a Mojo.

Amazingly though, I felt full immediately. I don't know if it has something to do with the brown rice.

Tonight, I'll get myself a Tanigue. Will let you know tomorrow.

Mom's Support Team

Current weight: 209 lbs.

I have decided that since I have such a big appetite these past few months (I'd eat two servings of rice and a dish every two hours), I will start my journey back to South Beach with the 2nd phase. Which means, I will simply revise the type of carbohydrates I will take in the next five (5) days.

Come Monday next week, hopefully, my appetite will have been well adjusted and my system prepared for the 1st phase which requires ZERO SUGAR and ZERO CARBS for the next 14 days.

Earlier this afternoon, I got this text from my mom:

"Nakabli ako ng tangigue 285 klo sariwa talaga mahal yon 350 sa grocery yon pnwa rice start mo bukas me chicken din pambaon mo."

Translation: I was able to buy a kilo of Tanigue for 285 per kilo. It's really expensive, groceries sell them for 350. Got brown rice too. You'd start tomorrow, there's chicken too for your packed lunch.

Now I'm thinking of how I'm going to cook the Tanigue tomorrow. I'll probably add a dash of pepper and salt and grill it.

At night, I can have Tanigue steak for dinner. I'll talk to nanay tomorrow.

And the brown rice! I missed having brown rice for lunch!

Will post updates tomorrow.

Gained

Current weight: 209 lbs.

I gained more pounds from the last time I made my entry.

'Be and I went to Pangasinan for a summer fest, and the free food just kept on coming in.

Again, I noticed that I get tired immediately whenever we do long walks and climbs.

But the Hundred Island experience was worth it. Being with 'be for 3 days and 2 nights, together with his friends and former classmates was enough for me to say that South Beach can wait for next week.

Talked to nanay again, and we'll go shopping tomorrow morning for the recipes.

Time to seriously focus on business...

This Diet Journal...

Current weight: 204 lbs
Two years ago, I looked like this....

And I met South Beach through Nadia.

Went through the phases for a year a half, and eventually the weight started tearing off....

It only lasted for a year and a half.

After I reached my ideal weight, I quit the program and went back to an eating spree...oh yes...without the guilt.

So here I am now....

And this....

If you're wondering what's wrong with my belly, well I'm wondering too.
I have no regrets in gaining back what I lost. But I am starting to think again and be more conscious about my health and old clothes.
Yes I am going back to South Beach. I have done it before and I am confident that I can successfully do it again. I already made a contract with nanay two weeks ago, and already has her support in cooking for me so I can survive the first few weeks of the Strict Phase and stuff.
I am writing this blog journal so that I can track my progress and motivate me to achieve my goal (again).
I'll be posting my daily intakes and recipes. Feel free to send me questions if you have any.
God, help me to:
- focus on my goals
- avoid proscratinating
- avoid backsliding
- convince nanay to help and motivate me more and
- maintain this blog.
